Clean, comfortable, good price and good location. Battambang is a small and quiet city, highly recommended.

In Royal we stayed in a 8 dollar fan room, which was pretty ok. The room is spacious, comes with tv and refrigerator and is clean. Staff is friendly and can organise everything for you. The Royal is conveniently located in central Battambang, near Psar Nat (central market).

Stayed in this hotel in june 2010, the room was very spacious , clean and cheap. Perfect backpackers stay, with a nice rooftop restaurant. Beware of scams in Battambang as if boat to Siem Reap doesn't go and stuff like this.

The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, an overall good value. What makes this hotel exceptional are the staff and owner. The hotel is in a central location. The market is just down the street and there are several restaurants in the vicinity. The Royal Hotel also has a decent rooftop restaurant. The staff can arrange tours of the countryside.... More
