We have spent a week in the end of February in the hotel Festa Chamkoria. Overall impressions are not bad. Unlike some other tourists, we were quite satisfied with food. Specifically, Bulgarian vegetables, sheep cheese (Feta), olives, fish and beef were great. At the same time, it would be a good idea to keep main dishes warm... Only soup was...

Just like Dimitar Ionkov, due to the overbooking of already confirmed rooms, I was asked to share a room with a colleague of mine... As we were on a management Teambuilding, I found it extremely inappropriate to share a room with my director or VP... Luckily, the issue got resolved, after it turned out that one of my colleagues was...

The hotel was chosen for a teambuilding event and booked by an agency.
The unpleasant surprises started from our check in. I was informed that due to lack of free rooms (that were previously confirmed) so I had to go to Hotel Lion instead. Thanks to two colleagues agreeing to stay in one room I found place to stay in...

Ended up in the Festa Chamkoria in January 2012, we had booked the Lion Hotel up the road, only to have our reservation cancelled, due to overbooking the night before we were due to travel. Easyjet holidays automatically booked us into this Hotel.
The Pros: It is a nicely built 4 star grade hotel, with nice rooms and comfy beds....

Excellent hotel, recently renovated. Stayed there in January 2012 with our 7 months old daughter. Rooms are spacious and warm, hygiene is excellent, the food is good. The pool is not large, but enough for relaxation, water is very hot. The only one negative is that sauna and steam bath are charged at 5 eur per hour. The hotel is...

We spent a great week last year 2011 there (family, with 1 small kid). The same looking as on the site, very nice and clean, small and comfortable place, with modern design, very good choice of food. Location is not perfect for some (not close to the center and the loaps), for us it was fine, we where walking a...

We stayed in this hotel between Jan 4 th and Jan 13, 2012. On Jan 6-7 a lot new snow was in Borovets. Due to that, Borovets had no electricity on Jan 7 and 8. All the hotels from Borovets have their own electricity generator. Festa Chankoria has no electricity generator so we stayed with no electricity that days (with...

We stayed between 13th and 20th Feb in this very modern hotel with our 11 year old son for a weeks skiing. This was our 3rd time in Borovets, our previous accomodation was the Lion Hotel, but thought it was time for a change.
We paid an extra £56 for the week for a junior suite and although we didn't...

The hotel was a little out in the sticks a half hour stroll from the gondola. You could probably walk it in 20 minutes at a brisk pace. The taxi's were ample and cost 10 to 15 lev not bad for a full cab. The shuttle bus went three times in the morning and three in the afternoon but there...
