When you go to a Mercure you expect modern rooms with confort and a good service. This hotel though has none. To begin with it looks like it was build by apes, several structural problems, the balcony tiles are about to wear off, doors are not well made and some of them don't fit properly same happens with the wood...

I spent one week in this hotel and I must say it was a big disappointment .
Firstly ,people working there need urgently a good training what hospitaity means .Breakfast in the restaurant was terrible ,with angry looking at you workers ,nobody speaks English so no communication possible .Ordering any room service - same problem .

Since several years I come to Santos for business. And always there was no decent hotel - this has now changed! Since some months there is the brandnew Mercure hotel right on front of the pretty beach (see picture from my room attached). My room was spacious and the bed was big enough (which is not normal in Brazilian hotels)....
