Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the large rooms, even if they are quite old. Covered pool for swimming lengths on top floor. Really good breakfasts - for people who like fresh, healthy ones.

The hotel is in the old downtown section of the city, surrounded by abandoned buildings, a church, and basic commercial stores.
The hotel entrance is below average for an advertised 5 star hotel, facilities are clean, and a pool and spa is available at the site.
Rooms are extremely outdated, with cheap furniture and somewhat comfortable beds.

Excellent location (downtown). Friendly staff. The room was very clean, but with old fashioned furniture. My room was in a high floor, so during the night I didn't hear any noises from the street. The price is expensive for a night in a hotel with less than four stars, but I think that's the reality in Porto Alegre.

One of the most traditional hotels in Porto Alegre. But due to the degradation of the area where it is located, and the emergence of other good hotels in nicer areas, this hotel became no longer a good option. I found the cleanliness and the services a little worse than my first visit 10 years ago. But the hotel is...

The most traditional hotel in Porto Alegre, focused on guest experience with people focused on you. Some building areas are old but the refurbished one are great.
They have a amazing and brand new rooftop with a swiming pool and a great fitness center.

Very big room overlooking the lagoon with free internet and breakfast. Bit dated in furnishing - but clean and comfortable with helpful staff. Even when I complained my key card didn't work and they politely pointed out it was from another hotel!

The Hotel has now new upgraded floors, but all in one, stay there only if absolute necessary, in my case, the convention center across the street. For the same price there are better ones.
