Ok rooms, except no fire alarms nor emergency exits.
Unfriendly staff (except the reception).
Unsafe area (got robbed at noon close to the hotel).
Pricey compared to what you get.

Am currently staying here for 1 night only thank god!!! Im working in Brasil at bresent and have stayed in around 15 hotels in the last 3 months, i can safely say this one is the worst of all by a long way, the room is untidy when i arrived, on a plus side its bathroom has been recently renovated...

Breakfast was terrific and we found the staff helpful and accommodating. Internet was quite slow and the room was not as clean as I like. Additionally, both hotel and neighborhood are quite noisy. The hotel has a reasonably good location not too far from major sites.

I'm sure it was a great hotel a couple of years ago. It's still a save and mostly clean place to stay and the stuff is friendly but don't expect something inspiring. They serve a good breakfast and the the location is good an central.

Although not the most welcoming hotel we've ever stayed at - it seemed to be more focused on the business sector rather than the tourist market - it was clean with good facilities and the reception staff were efficient. Good breakfast.
Good location, adjacent to the Metro (Carioca), Cathedral, tram to Santa Teresa, ferries and museums, Arcos da Lapa etc....

Stayed 1 night in a 3 bed rooom, and was very pleased. Booked 1 day ahead (online), which worked smoothly. Staff was englishspeaking and very friendly. Clean and nice rooms, and a pool on Floor 13 which was nice- the view fantastic! Neighbourhood was OK, little dodgy, but close to city centre, and airport, most importantly.
Try Lunch here- it's...

We had read the reviews on tripadvisor when we were booking this hotel in Rio during Carnaval. As we booked fairly late (about 4 weeks to go), we were left with few options in our price range.

My stay was during Carnival, so I would bear that in mind that during off Carnival season it can be slightly different.
Pros:
Advantage is the location. Fairly safe and center location. Breakfast were fine...
Cons:
Started with the bookings, I emailed them and we exchanged a few emails, but I always had to follow up as they were not...

Great location to access Santa Teresa and other areas of touristic interest. Based in a commercial area packed with shops and restaurants. Room and room service of a very good standard.
Breakfast of excellent quality. Some a la carte meals of an evening were overpriced for the quality received.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

I stayed here during the Carnival festivities, the hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city.
Good, clean rooms and great included breakfast every day.
Take care when in Rio city as it can be quite dodgy but as long as you have your wits about you and take care not to walk around with personal items on...
