Guido and the team do an excellent job to make you feel very welcome at this beautiful house set high atop Santa Teresa. Lovely interior design, clean rooms and an imaginative, delicious breakfast. A ten minute stroll to a string of intimate restaurants of varying cuisine. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay at Guesthouse Bianca in February 2013. To begin, the home is beautiful; the rooms are spacious and kept immaculately clean. A local television show was even shooting an episode at the home during our stay! Breakfast was delicious - very fresh and lots of options. We also greatly appreciated the complimentary water... We stayed at Guesthouse Bianca for 4 nights at the end of our 2 week holiday in Brazil. We were lucky enough to stay in the Sugarloaf room which has amazing views of Sugarloaf and a lovely balcony where you can look down on the rest of Rio. The room was a very generous size with a large en-suite bedroom.... More

After 3 weeks traveling in Argentina we stayed here for 3 nights to relax and enjoy Rio before our flight back to Holland. We loved the enthusiasm of Guido and his staff to make this place a pleasure to stay. The rooms are lovely (some of them have a nice view of Sugar Loaf). One room has a seperate private... More

Our only disappointment with Guesthouse Bianca and Santa Theresa was that we didn't allow enough time to spend there. We checked in at 9am after an overnight flight from Miami. At Guido's suggestion we booked for two days even though we could not sleep there the first night. This gave us a place to freshen up after a long trip... More

I would love to share my experience with everybody who want to think a reservation with this guesthouse. The guesthouse has reservation on their web with policy to confirm booking with 24 hours. After I made reservation and waiting for 2 days, there was no answer and I had to send reminder email to guesthouse regarding my reservation. On there... More

We had a rather lengthy negotiation concerning the details of a potential stay. Initially, our only option for this reservation involved several room changes. Unfortunately, in the midst of many emails and Skype conversation, another traveler committed to renting a room for 2 nights out of the 7 of this request. After much discussion, it was clear that this was... More

We stayed at the guesthouse for 5 days (Jan 30th-Feb 04th) and we really enjoyed our visit. We were welcomed warmly and felt like the whole house was ours! Yes Ipanema and Leblon are fabulous and must be on your Rio itinerary, but dare not miss what Santa Teresa has to offer. A bohemian Cariocan experience. You won't be disappointed if this is what you are looking for. Breathtaking views of Rio, rustic mansions and true Cariocan hospitality. Accommodation wise Guesthouse Bianca was nothing short of superb. Owner Guido... More

The private guest entrance is through the lush garden, where you can find mango, and coconut trees, bromeliads, orchids and other tropical ferns, not to mention countless tropical birds and the occasional monkey. All of the rooms have elegant private bathrooms, inlaid hardwood floors, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and free wireless Internet. On the ground floor, guests have their own dining room and a self-catering kitchenette where they are welcome to prepare snacks and drinks.Guesthouse Bianca’s gracious host, Guido, is a native Cariocan and has lived in Rio all his life.
