Outdated in every way. sad and old. Nice but uneven service, which is the only reason I gave it two stars. Sticky floors, poor maintenance in the rooms and in the public areas. Generally just a drag to stay there. Breakfast was OK - good variety. Lunch was horrible. Actually horrible. A buffet without a single edible item.

The hotel has not renewed for years, although very well located and with spacious rooms. Good restaurant. It is very easy to reach the main city attractions in minutes from there. If you do not care for luxury, only a place to sleep, cheap but secure, here you are.

Quite possibly worst Hilton have stayed in. It really shouldn't have that name on it - I have noticed that they use a slightly different font to the other hiltons so am not sure if that's a new brand under the Hilton family?? I had questioned myself as to why there is such a dearth of hiltons in Brazil and... More

The best part of staying in this throwback is the feeling, when exiting the lobby whilst wearing sunglasses, that you are in fact in the 1970s and a plotting a coup as part of your role with the CIA. The downside is the drab wooden panelling on the hallways, the chair that fell apart when I sat on it, the... More

This property isn't quite the standard of any other Hilton that I've stayed. Our refurbished room was on the executive floor. It was quite nice though underwhelming. A few finishing touches wouldn't go astray (like a balcony door that stayed locked, a nicer finish on the tub (it too had received an average refurbishment)). The executive lounge was very small... The Belem Hilton has nothing to do with a Hilton Hotel as you would expect it. The rooms are tiny, badly cleaned, old and not maintained. Staff is friendly but with the security in the lobby you feel more like a criminal then a guest. Breakfast is good and staff very friendly. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Hilton Hotel in Belém is about as central as it is possible to be in this busy city. It is a fine looking hotel from the outside and seems to be popular with airline crews and business people. Staff are courteous, helpful and friendly and will do what they can to make your stay comfortable. Rooms are fairly decent,... More

As a Hilton Hhonors Diamond Member, I've had the opportunity to stay in Hilton hotels throughout the US, South America, Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada and Europe. This is easily the worst Hilton hotel I have experienced. We arrived at the hotel at midnight after delayed flights. Nothing to eat or drink (although the hotel still advertises that their kitchen is... More

When you arrive from the south of the country or from abroad, this hotel does not look good. But after a trip to the Amazonian jungle or a visit to a mine in Para state, it looks like a luxurious palace. The restaurant is the best thing about this hotel, the rest (elevators, rooms, conference rooms, gym, etc) needs a... More

Two nights in May 2012, bookending a trip to Marajo Island. Surprised to find a Hilton in Belem, used cash and points for a very good rate. 1) The Hotel is centrally located, next to the central park downtown, and within easy walking distance of the waterfront. 2) In contrast to most of Brazil, the staff speaks fluent English. It... More
