We were reminded of the good old days when we walked into the lobby of this hotel. A footman took care of our luggage and the black suited staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient with the check-in. The room was small and furnished in typical Brazilian style with two single beds (not what we reserved), but clean... More

This hotel has a very luxurious lobby which greets you well. The rooms are not bad either and are above average (even if we discovered a large ongoing(!) wall repair behind the bathroom door). Free welcome drink upon arrival was a new experience for me. Most likely you will get a view into another building even if the hotel has... More

The lobby is quite nice the breakfast was good, and the beds were comfortable enough, but I had a major problem with the cleanliness in my room. It all looked fine, but when I was close to the floor to pick something up I noticed that the carpet was FILTHY, like maybe hadn't been vacuumed in a month. There were... More

For the last year-and-a-half, I have stayed at the Liberty Palace Hotel almost every month, while traveling on business with clients. From the reservations department clerks to the front desk, porters, management and other staff, I can honestly say that they make their guests feel welcomed and well catered to. I have come to know them on a first-name basis:... More

I chose Liberty Palace based on location and the good and trusted reviews. I was perfectly content at the Liberty Palace. A pleasant and helpful front desk. A fantastic breakfast (wish i hadn't gotten up with only enough time for a quick bite and glass of juice, i could have stayed enjoying the spread much longer!) and good location just... More

The advantage of this hotel is the location right in the middle of the city. However, it well and truly needs an upgrade. The rooms are dark, the breakfast very modest, and the atmosphere rather dismal. It has obviously seen better days. More

We stayied at the Liberty Palace for two nights at the beguinning of our trip in Minas Gerais. We haven´t any reason against the Liberty Palace, with free internet, good breakfast. We didn´t eat at the hotel but outside at Dona Lucinha where they have very good food typical from Minas. So the location is also good. We didn't walk... More

Good location with good restaurants. Center (Av. Afonso Pena) a bit away, but a bus 100 m. from the hotel can bring you there in 7-8 minutes (10 reals for a taxi). Excellent english-speaking staff, especially two 30-35 years old guys were very competent, which meant a lot in my case, since I wanted to go on trips outside Belo... More

I have stayed 6 days in this hotel and I guess this was the best choice possible in BH. Rooms have free broadband internet connection, which I found extremely convenient. Area (Savassi) is just great with lots of restaurants, bars, shops and bookstores in the vicinity. Only problem was I had a room with no view. More
