It has been a pleasure to spend 4 nights in pousada boqueirao. Full of character, details, clean, charming, sea views, in the middle of O carmo-pelhurinho... Excellent service and, as everybody agrees, with the best breakfast in both hemispheres!!

Pousada Do Boqueirao was one of the highlights of our trip around Brazil. I note that most "fellow trip advisors" have commented on the breakfast and I will be no different - its exceptional. Freshly baked goodies comprising of both sweet and savoury treats are set out beautifully every morning along with a variety of fresh fruits, cold cuts and...

The location:
Few minutes from Pelourinho in the Rua Sant Antonio direita, which is the extension of the main street of Pelourinho towards south. We felt safe walking at home even by night, leaving our handbags and credit cards in the safe, taking only the most necessary money on the walk, but the last few hundred meters are quite abandoned...

Breakfast, as everybody says, is excellent. A wide choice just be aware that they add a lot of salt to the eggs. The main problem is no air conditioning - ceiling fans only. Although there's a nice breeze most of the time on the balcony where you have breakfast, it still gets humid. Also, there's nothing to cool you down...

The interior of the building has been beautifully restored and has a huge entrance area displaying local arts and crafts. Our en-suite room was large with a hammock, a fan and a fridge. The location is good, in a nice quiet area of Santo Antonio with a few cheap but good quality restaurants nearby and just 10 minutes walk from...

This pousada made our trip to Salvador extra-special. It is beautifully furnished and has a great view, and good location. All staff were extremely helpful, and Nino, the owner particularly. He organised bus tickets for us to Chapada Diamantina which were impossible to book over the phone or online. We had a huge room, and loved the breakfast too.
It was a very nice stay in Salvador, Nino, the guy who owns the pousada was very helpful and gave us great tips for the rest of our trip. The building of the pousada is beautiful with amazing interiors. Breakfast on a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. nice nice...
Tthis Pousada was nice enough, we staid for a couple of days and were due to stay for one night again before our flight home. A word of warning, although we cancelled the reservation 3 days before they went ahead and charged us full price for the room using our credit card details that they had stored. Be careful not...

The allegation that we process guests’ credit cards without undue authorization is incorrect and unjust. All credit cards transactions are processed upon signed authorization from our clients.
The reservation in question was made by another guest, sharing the room with the complainant. The reservation was confirmed, and upon written signed authorization, dated July 08, 2011 from the accompanying guest authorizing...

Pousada Boqueirao is a wonderfully warm and charming colonial B&B with a gallery like feel, just up a small hill in magical Pelourinho. The location is perfect for walking and discovering the sites, restaurants and shops, although I do not recommend walking at night on ones own. The breakfasts were a master creation of delicious indulgence to awaken your taste...
