I am kicking myself for not staying at "The General Store and Inn" in our past visits to Altavista!
I have either stayed in Lynchburg or other establishments in the area in the past and overlooked GS&I.
The beds are soooo comfortable. The walk in showers was so refreshing and the shower heads could give some good pressure with refreshing...

My husband and I stayed there this past weekend and had a great experience. The room was tastefully decorated, fantastic bathroom, and nice small touches that made us feel as though we were in a bed and breakfast. The best part...the cost was the same (if not a little less) that staying in one of the other two chain hotels....

This is an "Old Building" that has been completely renovated with rooms on the second floor that are first class. Come wtih HD TV large flat panel TVs, treat mill, ect in each room. The price is right!
