My boyfriend and I stayed here in April 2012. The location is very quiet -off of the main road. It's a perfect place for trout fishing as the property lines the battenkill river. The breakfast was good, not spectacular. The room was cute but the bathroom could use an update. It was a good value for the area and only... More

A little worn but clean. Truly a real farm and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is always nice and staff personable. More of a base of operations than a place where I would hang out during the day. lots of great things to do in the area so this is never really an issue. I've stayed several... More

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend here with Lisa and the animals. The room was cosy and comfortable and we had a great time exploring the grounds and reading the books. We highly recommend Hill Farm Inn and hope everyone has the great moment of discovery that we did!!! We will be back, and we hope to meet... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend last August for a wedding in the area. Lisa and Al were wonderful hosts, making sure that everything was all set for our late arrival. We stayed in the Butternut cabin, which was perfect. The bed was comfortable, and the windows allowed the cool night air to move easily through the... More

My fiancé and I spent three nights over a long weekend in March at The Hill Farm Inn. We are from Manhattan and were really looking for a quiet and relaxed getaway. We didn't want to stay at a hotel, where we could feel like we were anywhere. We wanted an authentic Vermont vacation. This is the most lovely inn.... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights over Thanksgiving weekend, and had a great stay. The property is beautifully rustic, with nice, long walking paths. Additionally, we had fun visiting with the sheep, goats, chickens and pot-bellied pigs at the barn. Food was marvelous, and having a working fireplace in the room was an extra bonus.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Hill Farm Inn 5 years ago and vowed we'd be back for our 5 year anniversay. This last time as with our first was wonderful. We stayed in the same suite (Obediah Suite) and the service and food was just as great as the last time we were here. Al and Lisa... More

We spent two fun nights at Hill Farm Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The innkeepers are very accommodating, breakfast was terrific with your choice of several meals offered. The farm is centrally located with easy access to both Bennington and Manchester. Definitely go to Christmas Days!

We stayed at the inn in October, and were sadly disappointed by numerous factors. We've stayed in lots of B&Bs, so we have a good feel for what to expect, and this one was not a spot we'd return to. Like another reviewer commented, the welcome was hardly warm, and we found our interactions with the staff to be fairly... More

We were very sorry our guests were disappointed and would certainly have addressed their issues immediately had we known. We’ve received nothing but raves about our new king beds so we knew something unusual must have happened. Sure enough we found that half of the box spring had slipped off the bed frame. The bed is, once again, comfortable on... More

My wife and I went here to celebrate our first anniversary -- the high ratings I'd read on TripAdvisor were a big part of the reason we chose Hill Farm. In truth we found it to be OK but not outstanding. The rooms were very rustic... charming but lacking certain comforts. The B&B has wifi but it doesn't reach up... More

We have just put new flat screen TV’s with built-in DVD players in most of our rooms. This guest just didn’t find the slot. We have since added prominent instructions for operating the televisions and DVD players. While most of our rooms and suites have strong WiFi connections, a few farthest away from our routers do have weaker signals where... More
