I stayed at this motel for only one night. I will never stay there again. The room was very musty, old, and smell nasty. The bed was very uncomfortable. There was mold growing on the grout in the bathroom. The shower head did not work properly. Very dated room. Furniture was old. However, the room did look clean. Just very... More

Our family booked almost all the rooms at the Candlelight for a wedding. The owners were exceptionally helpful, gracious and accommodating to all of their guests. They opened up their lounge to our whole family for two nights in a row. They were unbelievably friendly, kind, and most hospitable to our very large party - making us all feel welcome... More

We had planned to stay at this hotel after attending a wedding. The morning of our reservation, we received the sad news that a member of our family had died. I called the motel at 9:15 a.m. that morning and left the message we would not be staying the night. When I received the charge on my credit card, I... More

Times change, I don't know what it was like in 2006 but I spent here two days and found it an excellent, quiet place, beautifully located, spacious room, spotless clean. Slept like a log in a comfortable bed. Staff was just normal and polite, the English not always clear but I got what I wanted (= the lowest price as... More

I don't understand the negative reviews the candle light got. My wife and I stayed there with our two large dogs for a ski weekend. We found our room to be very clean, the bed comfortable and the owners (who are not middle eastern by the way, if that matters to anyone) to be friendly and eager to please. Not... More

The Candlelight offered an efficient no frills place to stay for a really excellent price. We were checked in and then we were checked out. Stress free and unremarkable. But I didn't sleep a wink. The bed must have been very old because it was more uncomfortable than the floor. If I went again I'd take some foam with me.... More

We had reservations for two nights. On the way to the hotel, our car caught fire and was totalled. When I called to cancel the reservation, the person I talked to said it "wasn't his fault" and that they'd have to charge us for the night. I explained again and he said "these are tough times" . He was possibly... More

We were booked to stay at the Candlelight Inn for the nights of July 19 and 20, 2008. We were on our way to the hotel when we had serious car trouble (the car actually caught on fire!). Needless to say, we could not get to the hotel for our weekend. We called to cancel the reservation and were told... More

We stayed here last year during the foliage-the people who run it are very, very nice-not rude in anyway! This year when we returned, we had a medical emergency and although we were booked for 2 nights, we were only charged for 1 night! The owners did everything they could to help us so that we could return home! The... More

We stayed at this motel for one night. The reason we chose it – it was close to the Arlington Recreation park where we attended a family reunion. The main reception area did not appear to me very clean. And since our room was not ready (we did arrive a little bit early around 11:30 a.m.), we asked to use... More
