As visiting filmmakers in for the Ashland Independent Film Festival, we weren’t quite sure what to expect from Oak Hill B&B, as the festival had arranged our accommodations. We were not disappointed. In fact, if we ever return to Ashland, we will demand to stay at Oak Hill again, as I can’t imagine a cozier, friendlier or more inviting experience.... More

Our five-day stay was most restful, and the hospitality was warm without being intrusive. Each breakfast was different, attractively presented, and very tasty. I particularly appreciated the edible garnishes from the inn's garden. We spent hours in the afternoon reading in the large outdoor area that offered both sunny and shaded seating, including a pergola with porch swing. Oak Hill... More

We've been staying at hotels, and this was our first foray into B&Bs in Ashland. Was very pleased. They room was lovely, bathroom was very nice, the proprietors were a kick and VERY knowledgeable about the area and OSF and the food was terrific. Will go back...

We have stayed at Oakhill at least once, sometimes twice a year for over 10 years. It is our home in Ashland. Pat and Tom have become dear friends over the years, as we return year after year for their particular brand of top quality hospitality. Of special note: The great cookies Pat leaves out for guests, the incredible breakfasts... More

We wish we could add to the review below ("A Visit Among Old Friends"), but we really can't. KNorske's review is exactly right. We stay at B & Bs when we can because, when they're run well. you feel at home, not as if you were on the road. Over the years, we've stayed at more than 10 B &... More

My husband and I have visited Pat and Tom Howard at their B & B, Oak Hill Bed and Breakfast for at least 10 years. We revel in their warm hospitality, the comfort of our room, the lovely garden area which invites sitting and visiting, and the other guests we have met through the years, who clearly also love theater.... Obviously from the title you can tell I not a learned Shakespeare follower. What an I am however, is an afficianado in hospitality. My husband and I have been innkeepers for a decade and travelers of such establishments for over two decades. And if we were writing the review for the Playbill on this Bed and Breakfast Classic it would... More

We've stayed in about 50 B&Bs over the years all over the world and this was the best! Most people, us included, go to Ashland for the Shakespeare and this is the place to say. Evening discussions in the comfortable living room about the seasons plays. The inn keeper, Pat is a volunteer and while we were there last time... More

This is a nice property. The owners are very friendly and have owned the place for some time. A bit out of town (2 miles or so east) but ample parking. Had a lovely breakfast on the back patio in August. Food was very tasty. Rooms were clean but a little on the stark side (at least we thought the... More
