There are many B&Bs in Ashland, and over the years we have stayed in many different ones. Our most recent stay was at the Chanticleer, and it is easy to see why it receives such consistently high ratings. Ellen, the Inn Keeper, makes one feel welcome and comfortable, and serves creative, tasty breakfasts. This B&B is a great pick for... More

Our stay at the Chanticleer Inn was simply wonderful. Our room was comfortable and charming and the garden was lovely for walking around and sipping some wine in the evening. Ellen was a marvelous host, and provided us with some excellent advice. And her breakfasts were just about perfect. We are already looking forward to another trip and another stay... More

This was our first stay with Ellen and won't be our last! This is the most lovely B & B we have stayed in:) The location is peaceful, the gardens are amazing, the rooms were charming, the breakfasts and snacks were delicious and of course the conversations with Ellen were the best! Her love of the area and life itself,... More

We just returned from our first stay with Ellen at the Chanticleer Inn and it certainly won't be the last! Ellen and her inn came highly recommended from the B&B owner with whom we had stayed for many years. ....and we certainly weren't disappointed! Ellen is not only a warm and caring host but a fabulous cook and master gardener... More

Hello dear reader, my wife and I were delighted with every aspect of our 3 night stay here. We were referred by a friend of hers and are grateful for that referral. Ellen is super nice, her breakfasts are special and our room had a wonderful view. Parking on site, along with A/C and Internet. What more could we have... More

Love staying at the Chanticleer. We have been going to Asland for over 20 years and we love staying at different B and B's. This is the only one we have returned to and it is not only for the accomodations but because we really enjoy the Innkeeper Ellen. The rooms are lovely and unique in their own way. The... More

We have been coming to Ashland three or four times per year for many years to soak up its culture, people, and amenities. Since we always travel with our Chinese chow chow, we look for B&Bs that allow us to include her in the trip. While we have found a few B&Bs in Ashland that allow dogs, Ellen at the... More

We stayed 2 nights in room Pertelotte which has direct access to a very pretty garden terrace with table/chairs/Umbella. Room was a good size, very tastefully furnished and decorated. Very nice guest sitting area. Breakfast was served at 9.00 with all guests on a single table, joined by Ellen (the inn keeper) when we were there. Top quality food and... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Chanticleer Inn last August. We are frequent visitors to the "Oregon Shakespeare Festival" in Ashland and wanted to stay in a new property this visit. The room was very comfy, air conditioned (thank goodness in August), and the surrounding gardens serene. Ellen's breakfasts were excellent and her staff attentive. We'll be... More
