Pros: Location. Kind of. It's pretty close to the LRT station, and a bunch of Chinatown-related things. Don't bother asking the staff for directions to the station though, as they won't help. At all. Fernloft is in a great location in Chinatown with Petaling markets around the corner. We stayed at Fernloft for three nights including New Year's Eve. The hostel is well located; close to 2 metro stations, the main bus station to catch buses on to Cameron Highlands and there are several places to eat and drink nearby. Travveling on a shoestring, looking for cheap hostels but worry about cleanliness. Check out Fernloft at Chinatown Kuala Lumpur.
