Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located in Petaling Street Market Chinatown is one of the best spot for backpackers, but i'm not sure to recommend in this place. Some of rooms are very hot because the air conditioner almost in bad condition, and also the facilities you may not get like TV if you have reserved but the real condition is different.

I've been in many many many many hotels but this one I will not return. First no AC, ok the electricity of the AC somewhere was turned off. Than yes,no,yes,no,yes,no wifi. Real annoying if u need a stable internet connection, hallo? It's 2016! I try to flush the toilet it was not working. The electricity cable didnt reach the outlet. The "table",... don't use it as a table. See picture. Though I paid 60Ringgit per night! Without window. No, for that price there must be better ones in the area of Petalingstreet. Staff is helpfull and friendly and I borrowed a free electricity adapter.

Stayed in this hotel twice, first back in 2014 based on a recommendation of a friend, then in 2015 while I was on my trip to Penang, and there was about 17 hours gap between my flight from Jakarta to the connecting flight to Penang. It is a usual cheap hotel, nothing so special, and nothing you can expect more than a hotel that charges you RM 45 a night. The cleanliness of the room and bath room is just average. But somehow, the staffs are so friendly and helpful, particularly when you ask any information about KL, they can give you proper information. The location of this hotel is at the center of Chinatown, so basically you can get anything (from foods, clothes, and any other things) easily within just walking-distance. Overall, I would rate this hotel 7 out of 10. It is recommended for anyone who looks for cheap hotel with great location in Kuala Lumpur.

Elderly Chinese man who sits at the top of the stairs as you approach the front desk to check in asks for a key deposit but does not remind you at all when you check out! The key on the chain is probably only worth about 2 Malaysian ringgits so go figure! Make sure you ask for your deposit and keep the receipt for your room -make sure the deposit is written down on the receipt too. Basic and very, very simple and bottom end of the budget and only recommend it if you are desperate and just need a roof over your head for the night and arrive late at night. Migrant workers hanging around the corridors here. Location is set right in the centre of a night market.

I booked through email for a 4 nights stay. The price was cheap but the room I had was small and the aircon was a bit under maintained. The room smelled bad and it smelled like cigar. Would recommend for those who prefer a budget place who doesn't mind the condition of the room. But not for those who wants at least an average place to stay.

stayed one night here in this hotel, this hotel is a cheap hotel however the securities are excellent. sometimes, you can hear people having sexual intercourse somewhere with loud banging noise. there is a television, and really really lack of facilities. the rooms are somewhat for day use only.. if you get what i mean. go for a better alternative, eg: Arena Mountbatten Hotel at Masjid Jamek.

I was supposed to spend 5 days (found con asiaroom web) but I ran away on the 2nd day. Very small room. Hard to fit my bag in, they obviously did not clean before my arrival. The room was un disgusting conditions, the toilet lacked of any higienic criteria. Located on petaling street. Next door, muy neighbour was a noisy prostitute and the pimp would knock violently after each clientes (I guess to recollect the money). I could not sleep all night and felt very unsafe. I was on the 6th floor and as scared to take the elevator. Avoid it.

I stayed at this hotel for a night with my friend. We booked a room one day before check in and paid the down payment for about RM 20, the price was actually 65 RM, which is quite cheap, but deposit was not included. So we had to pay again and got the money back after check out from hotel. The room has 2 single beds, a television, air conditioner, and wifi available but no breakfast or free mineral water. It was not that clean, small, and the bathroom also very small. The shower was broken and I had a problem while taking a bath. I hope the management would improve some other facilities to be more comfortable.
