Very nice front desk staff, and some speak English! Room is small, but clean which was my main requirement! Location to Osaka activities is a bit far, which I knew in advance; just didn't realize downtown parking would be so expensive. (and already paying 1500yen/day at hotel).

A poor experience. From a room with materials unchanged since the 50s to a name and address that taxi drivers couldn't recognize, in itself a very bad sign. And not much at all as redeeming factor, poor location, high noise level. Definitely best avoided.

The hotel is good value for money and has three very good restaurants. It is way way out of town though, close to a metro train station that will take you to Kyoto, Kobe and into Osaka.
