Just back from Osaka, where I stayed 3 nights at the Hostel 64. Can overall recommend it, nice atmosphere, would go there again. They have a nice reception and lounge with free Wifi and tea making facilites. I had japanese double room (with large window facing a quiet street) for myself (which makes it a bit expensive, but all other... More

We adored this hostel when we stayed here last year. Although slightly out of the way (close to a subway station though), it's run by really sweet young managers and staff. The bedrooms are spacious and well equipped. The lounge area is really nice with lots of brochures and things to read. If you want a quiet haven from the... More

Once we got our bags up the stairs (we were warned) we found the room and facilities to be of good standard and reasonable prices. Close to shinshabashi shopping and train stations. The staff were very helpful with info on where to go and what to do. For a facility that was advised as a 'backpackers' we were thoroughly impressed,... More

The decor in this hostel looks really cool and modern. The staff were really helpful and accommodating. The rooms were spacious by Japanese standards and the bathrooms were also great. There's not much of a kitchen, but it's okay we weren't using it. The location is good. Not far from a subway, and just a short 10 minute bike ride... More

I loved this place. The design and decor were beautiful and the location fantastic, central to a really cool part of the city with lots of funky little izakayas close by. It's not a touristy area at all, so if you don't know the language (ie me) be prepared for some fun trying to figure out what to eat as... More

We stayed for 5 nights after reading the reviews here on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The location is perfect, in a quiet neighbourhood close to Shinsaibashi, the staff fantastic and the venue great. We choose a western room on the top-floor - no lift, which was big and comfy. The design is cool, minimal and modern. You share the... More

The place itself and the room is well decorated, had a great sleep there. Yet it's not so close to the metro. But would recommend it if you don't have a lot of luggage.

It's inexpensive & very close to shopping area. Charming & clean rooms. I'm not a fan of shared bathrooms but theirs are very clean & each one has its own character. Staff was nice and speak really good english.

Although the website direction wasn't exactly clear for directions we should head coming from one of the train stations, we still made it there with the help of locals. We got to osaka around 6am in the morning, and check in isn't until 3, and the hostel doesn't open doors until 8am!! however we buzzed up and the desk worker... More

Hostel 64 is aesthetically amazing. Everywhere you look there is something beautiful including the four unique showers and the book shelves. I wanted to have some of the wallpaper and the furniture in my own home! Staff are friendly and helpful and provide you with information about the surrounding area including the fact you can walk to a lot of... More
