Yes I agree! This is a good hotel with all expected facilities and close to transport, convenience stores, coffee shops and restaurants. Koyto is worth a second visit (a better base than Tokyo) and I would definitely select the Monterey.

Good location near the center of Kyoto with good access (mainly by bus) to major temples and parks. Rooms are nice but small and rates are sort of high for such rooms. Would go again only if I can get a good deal.

This is the perfect hotel to position yourself in Kyoto. It's walking distance to the main road that takes you into the Gion district (Only about a 15 minute walk).
