Excellent location, almost next to Kyoto Station (2 minutes walk from the North Exit). Rooms are small but very comfortable. Staff are pleasant and baggage storage at the lobby area is permitted on day of check-in or check-out. Only negative is that they dont have free wifi.

My husband and I stayed here on our first night in Kyoto. It was convenient (across the street from the train station). The service was good with easy communication at the front desk. Our room, however, was tiny - smaller than what we would have expected for the price. It was a claustrophobic night in a stuffy room made worse... More

The room clean, small and neat, though as the bathroom was a single formed plastic capsule the ceiling was very low - you would have to duck in there if you are taller than about 5 foot 9 or 10 inches (say 170 cms). In theory the hotel it should have been fine but two things made me move out.... More

The hotel is very close to the railway station, but just nicely round the corner to miss the crowd. As with most services in Japan, service is good and things are in working condition. Internet connection is through wired LAN, but they would lend you a cable if you don't have one. I like their little water boiler - so... More

Likes: 1. Excellent location - it's just a mere 3-min walk from the Kyoto JR station, perfect for those arriving from Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya. Plentiful of restaurants within walking distance and so is the Kyoto Tower which offers a spectacular view of the city itself. 2. Good service - front-desk staff have a relatively good command of English and... More

The hotel is situated a 5 min walk (on the pedestrian walkway) from Kyoto Station. Location-wise, you couldn't ask for a better hotel. It's next to the Century Hotel, and a 5 min walk from Kyoto Tower (which is just opposite the station). It's about an hour's walk from the shopping arcades, I think. We took an entire day to... More

From several reviews we anticipated broom-cupboard dimensions, but were pleasantly surprised to find it was more than adequate for our party of three which included a 7 month old. We were able to hire a cot at a bargain 1400 yen a night, complete with a cute Miffy quilt and very small Mickey-and-Minny pillow. There was free internet for our... More

The only good thing about this hotel was the location to the subway and the free use of the hotels push bikes. We checked into our room and just got settled when we were told we were in the wrong room we were then moved to a room overlooking a filthy black building the bins and the truck docking area.... This hotel is located next to Kyoto JR and subway station. From the station's main entrance at the north side, turn right and walk for less than 200m and you are ready to check-in. This is the central traffic hub of the city and you can reach almost every attraction in the city from here. You can also take trains... More
