A great hotel located near the main shopping and restaurant district with easy access to the local bus system and subway. Rooms are very modern, clean and quiet. Staff helpful. Most guests seemed to be Westerners. A great base from which to see Kyoto.

Within close walking distance of the Gion district in Kyoto, the Royal Park Hotel is spotless. The rooms immaculate and nicely furnished. The bathroom contained a wet room shower with full bath too. The service was very friendly. Have stayed in several hotels in Japan - the Royal Park was easily the best.

I took two stars off the rating for this hotel because after the first night, my Xylifloss floss was stolen after the room was made up. Can you believe it? A flosette !
