This place was a little secluded, so maybe not recommended for a solo traveller. Walking to and fro to the bath-house was a little too quiet for my liking. Kyoto Craftsman Guesthouse is an excellent place to stay in Kyoto. It is actually a traditional tatame room in a home, large enough for three to stay in in Northwest Kyoto. There are toilet facilities but no bath. For that you wander a few blocks to one of the best bathhouses in Kyoto, Funikawa Onsen. 400 yen for a great... More
