We stayed at three different Super Hotels during our time in Japan, and all were clean, comfortable, and the staff were willing to help you in any way they could. In all hotels there was at least one staff member who spoke good English, but even if they spoke limited English, they always did their best to help.

We booked Super Hotel Kyoto in Gojo through their website and it was a breeze. They did not even ask for any deposit. Check-in was also a breeze.

We stayed there in Feb 2010 with our baby. The location is good (only 10 min walking from Kyoto station), and the price is excellent, with (good) breakfast included. They also provide pyjama, free funny little things like facial mask, hairbrush etc (you can choose 5 per night) and the front desk speaks English and is just sooooo nice and...
