I booked this hotel through the booking.com website. It is advertised as a 4 star hotel. This must be by Russian, nor international standards. . Rooms average at best. Local metro is not 5 minutes away. More like 10 minutes

Booked this hotel online via Booking.com & left a note asking for a nice room. On arrival at Hotel Neptun very late, was greeted by the smiling Julia who was very helpful & efficient. The hotel and breakfast is ok. But finding hair, dirty glass and urine on the saddle in the bathroom.. was disgusting!! Moreover - I booked non-smoking room. Of course they gave us smoking room.. Very unpleasant feeling from staying in the hotel this time. My husband stayed late in the hall to watch tv. The barman offered him a girl...... More

The overall impression is that it is a boring business hotel, where people only come to sleep or have meetings. It's clean enough, breakfast is good, but it just doesn't feel cosy. The hotel is outside the city centre, it can be walked but the walk isn't very nice and we tended to call cars.
