I chose this hostel because of the location. It is near from Nevsky Prospekt, but not as near as it should be to be safe. During the day, ok, it's perfect. The day I arrived was hot and muggy by St. Petersburg standards, as the hostel is not air conditions, many parts were hot and uncomfortable. The hostel is very clean and the installations are new. The building and the corridors are quite old and scary, but inside the hostel everything is perfect! Thank you so much, for so pleasure stay in Russia, was so much amazing about location of hostel. Really in hystorical center of the city, and i could work around all the night and after come back to hostel where always everybody was happy to see me !!! Really nice place! Pilau! It's incredible comfy place. Every day of my staying at this hostel i was surrounded by friendly and domestic atmosphere. During the only 4 days i spent there I got a lot off impressions from walks in Saint-Petersburg and doing a sights. Many thanks for helping and comprehension!!

A lovely place to stay in the center of St. Petersburg! Thanks stuff for advices how to spend time in St. Petersburg. Clean and cozy hostel with convenient placing. All places of interest are in walking distance. Next time we'll stay only in Pilau.
