I didn't have high expections when I arrived and the hotel confirmed it. Overall, it accomplished what we needed which was a roof over our head and a place to sleep and shower. the location is decent. if you get off at south station (южный вокзал), you can walk there and thus avoid finding a taxi in this part of town. the connection to the centre is not bad at all either; there is a bus stop about 10 min down the road, at leninski prospekt. we also walked a couple of times.... We stood in "Golden Bay" hotel, what one could rate in USA as 3 star hotel with cold water and no A/C under temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.
