Grand and opulent fittings, large rooms - definitely intended for the elite of Russia. Not modern in design, although has all the mod-cons. Buffet breakfast had old-fashioned items, not really a 'western' range of foods. Good coffee, though! Note - rooms can reek of old smoke, so try and find a non-smoking room.

Typical business hotel you can find in many inner cities in Russia, China, etc... Local hotel with western touch. Rooms are big enough and clean, very good service. I was told that, for the moment, it's the only western choice in Yaroslavl

The rooms are reasonably large, comfortable and clean. If you ask for a double, you get a room with two beds, not one double bed, which is perfectly logical I guess. If you want one double bed, it will be big enough to sleep 2 but you'll spend the night fighting over the duvet which is not big enough. Restaurant... More

what I mean bu Russian specific is that a handle on window was not working when we moved in, but they changed the room for us, Also there was some temporarily issues with hot water and the breakfast room was too busy. Inspite of all of the above I really enjoyed stay there, it's really comfortable and stuff is friendly.... More

The hotel is located somewhat centrally - half-way between railway terminal and downtown (15 min walk). To get there from the terminal you can take trolley number 1 to the Pl. Truda (Labour Sq.) This is the only four star hotel in town. Keep in mind that the stars are given by the government tourist agency, so ratings tend to... More

Yaroslavl is a good 5 hr drive north of Moscow and is one of the ring of gold cities and was once the capital of old Russia. Setting for "War and Peace" and located on the Volga river it has some beautiful buildings and great restaurants at cheap prices - raindeer is very good. I stayed here for 3 nights... More

The hotel is generally okay, you will hardly regret staying there. There are some drawbacks (very noisy central ventilation in rooms is one of them), but it's not the point, really, because it is the one and only European-class hotel in this city. So do not spend your time reading this reviews - there's no choice, unless you can choose... More
