Hotel Belgrad comes with little charm. The building is a concrete box, the 'renovated' rooms could do with some renovation and service is, let's call it, a little impersonal. The standard is somewhere between a two or three star hotel at best. The worst point, however, are its prices. It is well known that Moscow's hotels are the most expensive... More

Stayed in their "standard" room for two nights. Substandard would be a better name, no doubt. Five star price for a one star quality (officially 3*), payment at check-in, unhelpful staff, worn-out furniture, missing window insulation replaced by a tape... just to mention a few.

I had to stay there for two nights and I hope I won't have to any more. Dirty ugly rooms, no warm water, dirty brown cold water, apparently dangerous electic outlets, that all crowned with unhelpful arrogant staff. That all for exorbitant price. Avoid it if your aim is not a travel 30 years back in time.

Last February a room at the hotel was booked for me to stay for 2 nights on business. I must admit I was glad I had my long-sleeve pyjamas with me as I was afraid of touching the rooms bed with bare skin. Located wonderfully just near the Mininstry of International Affairs, facing a bridge across the river, but thats... More

Please try to avoid economy rooms for your sake and if you have possibility, choose another hotel in Moscow. Furniture are overused and dated back to soviet times, windows are open to Russian winter. All you can get here is a cold…

Like another reviewer I stayed here in the Soviet era (May 1991). The room photos posted look EXACTLY like the ones I took on my visit. Furniture is the same, bathroom is the same. Apparently service is the same as well - asking for anything at reception meant you were in an instant grudge match! The USSR may be gone... More

Agree with other recent reviews: a horrible experience. Undoubtedly the worst hotel compared to price we have ever stayed in. And we have traveled quite a lot. My wife and I had booked for 4 nights in june 2010, but left after only 1 day and moved to another hotel in Moscow which was somewhat more expensive, but much, much... More

I really enjoyed reading the comments about this hotel. I stayed at this hotel in 1984 as part of a trip through the USSR. Good to know some things never change!

we endured the last days there because we had paid in advance. there were dust balls under the bed, the staff were indiferent or snobbish, they sometimes pretended not to hear. we think they hated being there, more than us. the restaurant was good and reasonable but don't stay at the hotel for it. there was brown water coming out... I am visiting this hotel every time I am in Moscow on business trips, which is twice per year. It is at a very good spot as it close to a metro station. Also, you can for a walk on arbat street in the evenings. It is a clean hotel with comfortable rooms. The rate per room is reasonable and... More
