Katerina city was my choice for a 2 night Moscow stopover. It is conveniently located close to the paveletskaya train stn. It is a pretty basic hotel but with helpful staff and a hearty breakfast.

Very good hotel, walk distance from train and Metro stations, excellent breakfast, clean and quiet room, good food and drinks at the hotel bar, free wi-fi, free water and some snacks in the room. Good hotels are expensive in Moscow, and this one is not different, but I believe that worth the price.
