We stayed in this hotel as a family for 4 days in May 2013. Check in was swift with no problem. The staff new acceptable English. The hotel was very run-down and dilapidated with extremely long corridors which would take you quite a while to get to your room. The room was OK, with room for an extra bed, a view of... More

My girlfriend stayed here in the winter of 2012. Although the price was affordable and the location great (a 5 min walk to the Bolshoi), this is a terrible hotel and should be avoided. Their heating was not sufficient. The hottest setting on the dial was barely perceptible, causing us to shiver enough to request for an additional heater, which... More

When you compare the Budapest with other hotels in the same range of prices in Europe, it is not worth 4/5 as stated below : old furniture, old facilities (bathrooms, walls and floors deserve a renovation), no free-wifi (I mean really?!), the doorman doesn't actually open the door but stay next to it all day talking to another guy, cleaning... This hotel looked very grand, but in the small bathroom floor tiles where cracked, we had to eat in the hotel nextdoor and the use of the pool was at a extra charge of £10 each . The drinks in the hotel are very expensive, £8 for a glass of orange juice and £5 for water.

This hôtel is the very best sign that the soviet time is still running somewhere; Smell, rooms, breakfast... all is lots il that period of time. The only interest if the location in the very center and the price which is not so terrible as moscow is a very very expensive town. the hotel "peter the first" which belongs to... More

Location is excellent. The hotel can be reached from two metro stops less than 5 mins walk (with baggage>). The breakfast is a treat and a great start for the day The rooms are on the old style (as is the building) but this gives it a "homely" feel Prices are creeping up though and in comparison to more modern... An awesome location in walking distance to most of Moscow's main attractions. The rooms are spacious but a bit dated decor wise, warm and the bathroom has been renovated more recently. The breakfast has a great selection and is of decent quality. Can't really comment on value as we booked through about three travel agents to get a visa the... More

An older style hotel, clean, quiet, with a large room and the included breakfast was okay. Less fussy eaters would probably say a good breakfast. It has no free wifi, not even in the lobby but staff advised us to go around the corner to Peter First hotel where it was available in lobby (I think they have the same... More

Good Points: Hotel lobby pleasant, bar open till 11:00 and then walk through the connecting corridor on level three and go through to the Peter 1 Hotel (same ownership) this was far more inviting as an area for relaxing– room costs not sure. Very central with the Red Square and metro system close at hand – easy walking distance. Good... More

The hotel is located in the very center of Moscow, 10min walking from the Red Square and the shops. Ideal situation At the reception they do speak english and are ready to answer all your questions.
