It is not the fault of hotel, which rises above Peru and many american standards, but the location itself. Lake Titicaca and Puno is simply boring and dirty place. This was by far the best hotel of the three Casa Andina Hotels we stayed at, the other two was Lima and Cusco. Location is nice, on the lake with nice views of the lake. It is a few minutes out of the city center, although taxis are easy and safe to get. This is a really beautiful hotel. I had a lake view room which was large and very comfortable. Excellent selection for breakfast. On the negative side, it was very isolated and not in walking distance of the centre, so I did not see anything of Puno. Stayed two nights here to visit Lake Titicaca which was another great visit!

We stayed 2 nights. Hotel is situated outside of town on the lake with it's own boat dock where you can schedule to be picked up and go to the various islands on the lake. The restaurant was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable with great views - A great place to acclimate.
