El Manzano is located just outside of city centre, really only a short walk to the square. The hostel has a nice courtyard setting. Liked: - Breakfast! Better than most hostels in this price range (not just bread and jam) - Solar powered showers, provided hot water most of the day - Really nice staff - Fast internet (did not... More

This hostal is a few blocks from Puno port and walking distance to the bus station. It´s located in the lowest part of Puno, at Titicaca level, downtown city is up hill but not a tiring walking, just few blocks and there is a good supermarket near this hostal. Rooms is very quiet to sleep, hot showers are better until... More

We only stayed here one night and it is pretty basic. You get what you pay for. The room was clean and hot water was not a problem. They shut down WIFI at 9pm which we didn´t like so much. They also have a personal computer that you can use, but I believe it must be full of viruses as... More

We arrived at the hostel and were not given a warm welcome at all. We weren´t even sure if they still had our reservation. Then, two of the reasons we picked El Manzano were because we believed there would be wifi and a kitchen so we could cook our own meals. The wifi didnt work at all in our room... More

This isn't a bad hostel, per se. And, my experience in Puno wasn't a great one in general but that wasn't the hostels fault! However, when I arrived on the bus into Puno I was expecting an airport transfer do it was very disappointing that no one showed up for that (I've experienced this several times in South America). The... More

We stayed here before going to Lake Titicaca. They have heating service to your room, we didn`t use it, but I think it is a good idea. It`s cost is just 10 soles per night. We leave our luggage with them with no charge. And then we came back and for just 5 soles we could have a great bath... More
