We really enjoyed our stay here and I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone. The staff were all very friendly and pretty accommodating. The first day we arrived my husband wasn't feeling well and they offered to make him some soup (which was really good by the way). The food was always great and the presentation was always nice.... Our family of 5 adults and our 2 year old granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day and 4 night stay here. We were met at the Puerto Maldonado airport, transferred to the dock, traveled down river to the lodge and given the keys to our thatched roof cabanas with comfortable beds, private bath/shower, porch with table, 2 chairs and 2... When we arrived at the Puerto Maldonado airport we were a little put off at first to see half of our plane board the brand new EcoAmazonia bus, only to find ourselves and one other person getting onto the dilapidated Corto Maltes van. We were expecting a run down resort, but when we arrived we saw that it was beautiful.... More

Even through we only spent only 2 nights at the lodge, but the whole experience was perfect! we slept well during the nights, walked kms during the day and ate delicious meals. Our 9 year old daughter was with us and she loved every moment. We should have been a bit more prepared for the jungle walk and I wish... More

We stayed here for 3 nights after the Inca Trek and had a fabulous time. The lodges are beautifully decorated, and very clean with great showers and huge comfy beds. There are pet parrots and a toucan who fly about all day and talk to you; they took a special liking to the friend I was travelling with and one... More

We spent 3 nights in January at this fabulous place . Our plane, which made several attempts to land at Puerto Maldonado was delayed 3hrs because of torrential rain, however the staff were fantatstic, they had held our lunch, and delayed our evening meal so that we would not miss out on any of the evening activities. Lucy, our guide... More

We visited Corto Maltes in the low season (March) and it was very quiet. Corto Maltes is located at the Madre de Dios river and is therefore located in the jungle. But because it is so nicely maintaned it does not feel like the jungle. Just a very beautifull logde close to the jungle. Because of this you don't have... More

A quiet, peaceful retreat. Food was fresh and tasty and the staff was obliging, one drawback was if you said you would not have a particular meal and later changed your mind and wanted to eat the meal there was no extra meal available, Rather strange!! Plenty of yummy fresh fruit available papayas, mangoes bananas. Accommodation was basic but comfortable... More

We were a group of 5 friends who recently travelled to South America for a 4 week holiday. We visited Brazil, Peru and Argentina. What an amazing stay we had at Corto Maltes lodge. The lodge is located on the banks of the river and allows you to have an authentic amazon experience! The rooms are basic but very comfortable.... More
