My wife and I spent four nights at the Buenaventura (May 13-17), followed by two nights at The Bristol in Panama City (see separate review of that). After we got home and discussed our vacation, we found that we had both come to the same conclusion that three nights at the Buenaventura would've been fine, and that we both had... More

This place is a beautiful resort. he rooms are beyond luxury. They are huge and the the furniture was top notch. The bedding was soft and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the bath products and the fruit plate (replenished everyday) and welcome letter was the perfect touch. The only suggestion is to have a map of the property... More

We stayed for two nights here at this beachside resort; definitely expensive, especially for Panama. Special kudos to Riceaurte DeLeon, the manager on duty; very helpful. The rooms were spacious, we had an oceanfront room with two beds. Multiple pools, but the water seemed murky in two of the pools. The beach has black sand, and there was a red... More

This place is the most beautiful resort. I felt like I was in an old Spanish town. The whole resort is centered around this breath taking 300 yr old tree. The rooms are beyond luxury. They are HUGE!! Seriously, they are huge! Whoever designed this rooms had fantastic taste. All the furniture was top notch quality. The bedding was so... More

We celebrated a special anniversary with a return visit to the Bristol in Buenaventura. Not a long trip, as we live only 20 minutes away... - but it is worth it. We started with a round of golf of the new Jack Nicklaus Golf Course. The back nine holes are open, the front nine are supposed to be opened next... More

In the Bristol Buenaventura you are welcomed, checked-in, and gently eased into what will become a wonderfull stay where you can relax, take in some sun, sip on some Pina Coladas, Daiquiri's, Mojito's, and Caipirinha's amongst other dilitious cocktails.... The food is good and the amenities are gorgeous. I have to say it is a very good way to spend... More

I had an opportunity to spend 3 days at this wonderful resort after working almost non-stop for the previous two weeks. It is about 2 hours from Panama City but worth the trip and more. First the location is breathtaking. It is on a beautiful, clean beach.I swam in the Pacific and ran for an hour on the hard packed... More

We have a house in Panama City but wanted to get away before returning to the States. Rest and relaxation was the goal and mission accomplished. The care rendered us by the Staff was first class, from the moment the driver picked us up, through front desk attention, restaurant crews, spa personnel, room cleaning and pool staff. Daniel, the Concierge,... More

In a country where customer service/tourism standards are still experiencing many growing/development pains - it is so refreshing to actually stay at a true 5 star property that lives up to the standards of this level. From the moment we entered the property until the moment we left - every single encounter/experience focused on ensuring that we had a stay... More

First time I went there almost everything was impeccable. I came back last december for new year week, and noticed some things that they need to fix otherwise they will fade into mediocrity. Food was not as good as the first time, especially at the Italian venue near the pool, which i found cafeteria quality, at these price Is unacceptable... More
