First off: know what to expect, it is a base camp. The amenities were clean, well maintained and we enjoyed our stay there. It was a great mid-point on our travel itinerary and amazing value for money. The management and staff were also friendly and provided really good service. The location for the hotel is challenging to get to, but worth the trip for dedicated hikers. The hotel lies near the rim of the Wadi An Nakhur, the "Grand Canyon of Arabia". Several hiking/trekking trails are nearby, including Oman's W4 trail to the south summit of Jabal Shams (elevation 2,997 meters), and the W6 trail to the abandoned village... More
