We were in the area for a weekend event, and stayed here at last minute. This place is a work in progress, and one shouldn't expect a B&B or hotel experience at this juncture. The amenities are basic, and you will need to furnish for your own needs. There is a bar/restaurant on the first floor with an outdoor bar/BBQ... More

There are few villages along the mid-Hudson Valley and even fewer with a walkable, charming quiet waterfront. This is no Taj Mahal -- simply an inn above a classic old hotel bar and waterfront restaurant. Few places like this exist anywhere along the Hudson River. The inn is under new ownership, and they mean to make a good impression on... More

I spent very little time in the room. I am grateful for that. The location was pretty. The room was clean but lacked a clock and anything to hang up your clothes. The bathroom was weird. There was no cups or glass to drink water. The door had no hooks to hang anything. The toilet was on a two foot... More

We arrived at the hotel a bit earlier then scheduled check in at 4 over July 4th weekend to find no one at the hotel or attached restaurant. When we found all the doors locked we decided to try to call the hotel, no answer. Thinking the issue was that we had arrived a half hour too early (not too... More

Great service. We arrived very late. No problems! A clean, comfortable, spacious and airy room without too much "stuff"! Clean bathroom. A quaint and cozy bar. A good place to spend an hour or two on a cold night. We did not have a chance to try the restaurant, although the menu looked very good. Stewart House:a great location -... More

Had not eaten here is quite some time and was concerened about a spate of very bad reviews. In summer it appears that the indoor restaurant is closed in favor of al fresco dining on the active waterfront across the street. On a beautiful night like we had, the atmosphere was delightful. On a humid hot night, might not be... More

I wanted to stay at a place that would be nice quiet peaceful place. Well this place was quiet but the rooms were nasty and they food was cold when I got it. The glasses were dirty and the workers were very rude. This is not the kind of place you would want to stay at or eat at. I... More

Internet was down when we arrived for a 2 night stay for a romantic vacation, so the front desk could not sign us in. Thank goodness I had a print out of the reservation with me. Went to our room: 1. Poop in toilet (toilet didn't flush), 2. Front door to the room didn't shut unless you threw your shoulder... More

I had the pleasure of staying at the Stewart House while visiting family in the area. This place is a gem. The historic building is beautifully preserved and the rooms are tastefully decorated with antique furnture and high-quality linens. The views of the Hudson from the full-height windows are to-die-for. Had the weather not been perfect, I would have been... More
