This is a really good place to stay in Essouaira, the room was lovely with lots of light, a nice teras with seaview. The people are real friendly and the price is amazing!

From the moment we arrived in the riad Chems blue, we were recieved with great hospitality and we felt right at home. The first night, the host immediately gave us tips for a good restaurant (wich was very good and cheap , 2 good meals+drinks for under 150dh). We dont speak french but the host speaks good english. All together...

The riad is nice with a great view of the ocean. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast in the morning is really good and they serve eggs and fresh juice in addition to the wonderful breads and crepes. The only thing I didn't like about this place were the creepy guys hanging around in the alleyway leading to the riad...

By the time we reached Chems Bleu, we had reached a critical need to do laundry. We noticed a machine in the guest kitchen and asked if we could use it. The staff member graciously offered to put a load in for us. When we returned to put it on the line, a staff member had hung it out for...

We stayed in Riad Chems Bleu in august 2010 for 7 nights. I have booked red room beforehand and made a partial payment but at last moment the owner Annie refused to provide us this room. So, we had to stay in the blue room that was smaller. There was no door between the toilet and the bedroom curtains only....

We stayed at Riad Chems Bleu just for one night in May 2011 but it was a very good experience. The hotel was very clean and the room big and sunny. The breakfast was fresh and rich. I really advise all the travellers to stay in this riad also for longer periods and I personally hope to go back soon....

I’m not sure if that’s because Essaouira has some pretty bad/expensive Riads or if I’ve just been lucky enough to find...

On our second visit to Essaouira we stayed at Chems Bleu. We would thoroughly recommend this Riad to anyone looking to stay in the Medina, in a riad with excellent light and views and small enough to offer highly personalized service during your stay – and all at a very competitive price.
When owner Annie Menard is not there, the...

I stayed here for two weeks in February 2011. It’s a pleasure to stay inside the medina. In fact a privilege to mingle with the Moroccans as they go about their life. Latifa and Sumir and the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very pleasant
I really enjoyed it here and was very glad I stayed...

Although located within the Medina, once you stepped through the little blue door, you could hardly tell. We were greeted with refreshing mint tea and an orientation of the Medina.
A beautiful and simply decorated Riad equipped with clean and comfortable rooms. The concierge, Sumiyya and Latifa are heaven sent. Fluent in both English and French, they provided us with...
