We thought as the hotel was right around 50 usd it would be a bit more lux. What a bummer! A 24 inch piece of art and a tiny mirror a boutique hotel does not make. The room is so small two cannot walk abreast across the room. The showers are big, but only part of the shiny elaborate plumbing... More

Abell Hotel is fairly new (opened April 2011). It is at a good location - walking distance to most attractions in Kuching. The rooms are clean and the bed/beddings are very comfortable! Breakfast buffet is so-so only. As it is near a few coffee shops, you can also choose to have Kuching/Malaysian breakfast outside. :-) We chose rooms at the... More

I was arriving into Kuching after a long flight so wanted a hotel booked and what a mistake to book into Abell. Arrogant management, small rooms. The lady manager wanted the front desk clerk to charge me for the telephone call while he was trying to help me Dont stay here. for the same price there are better hotels in... More

Certainly, staff is what it makes a good stay in this hotel. Friendly, with natural smile and willingness to go extra mile to help at any point, people at Abell will outcome their colleagues from more established, "branded" hotels. Location is good, walking distance to most of the things to see in the city. Rooms are cozy and warm. Some... More

I chose to stay overnight in this hotel for official duty in september 2011 for it's new hotel in town. However, it was a bit disappointing. Upon stepping out of the lift to my room, the whole aisle smell of sewage. The superior room without window that i stay is also just ok. It is spacious for 2 people, but... More

The lobby is large, modern and spacious. Staff are very friendly and helpfull to every request. Rooms are somewhat small although have been renovated. bathroom is tiny, and needs glass shower screen instead of cheap looking and ineffective shower curtain, which allows water to flood the floor. The room has coffee/tea making facilities and fridge. Also large desk and flat... More

Although the hotel are located at the center of the Kuching city (very strategic location), rooms are clean, but very terrible RESERVATION service I have ever encountered! I definitely will not consider staying at Abell Hotel again even though the rates might be cheaper or because of its strategic location! From my point of view, as a customer, all I... More

The lobby is decorated in simplistic design with red as the main colour which makes you feel warm when you just entered the lobby. The staff are all friendly, the check-in process just take a short time and we are allowed to check in before the actual check-in time. the staff in lobby always gave you friendly smile when you... Impressed by this place instantly. Beautiful lobby which includes a Brazilian restaurant. Located near the riverfront area of Kuching, tons of dining and shopping options within throwing distance. My room had tons of desk space, an LCD TV, comfortable bed and a nicely designed bathroom although the hot water was limited at times. Only downfall of this place was the... More
