i had my 4-day-labor-day break at Wo Jia Lodge. it was a really lovely place for my stay at Kuching. very good location, by the river on the other side of the "China Town". the stuff are really knowledgeable of the places of interest around. they are exceptionally helpful when we were trying to rent a car. i would definitely... We stayed here for 10 days and really enjoyed it! The location is perfect - right across the road from the beautiful Sarawak River and easy walking distance (less than 5 minutes) to restuarants, shops and the bus station. The lodge is really tastefully decorated with a big common room downstairs full of coffee tables and cushions to hang out... More

Wo Jia isa is awesome. I have been traveling around SE Asia now for over 8 months and this is by far one of the nicest guesthouses I have stayed in. Staff is friendly, the decor is inviting (yes, its decorated - a luxury in the world of hostel dwelling), location is central, and the kitchen option is fabulous. We... More

The lodge is perfect for backpackers. The room is spacious, air-con or fan, acceptable clean. Hot shower, kitchen with cooking facilities, TV, DVD, reading corner, PC with internet access, WIFI at common area. And fanstastic coffee and bread in the morning is included. I travelled with family with spouse, 2 small kids and an old father, we were assigned to room... More

One of the best place I've ever stayed. It's nice, friendly, clean, well placed and pretty cheap. The team is very helpful, and even the - simple - breakfast is included. For sure I'll come back there if I come back to Kuching.

Being a lone female traveller can sometimes be daunting, especially when you arrive in a new country and have to jump in a cab with a strange man who you've never seen in your life. You have to put your trust in your own instincts and the people around you. But when I arrived in Kuching I didn't feel this... More

Where to begin with this place! Ill cut straight to it: Its affordable, its friendly, its clean, its near accessible, its warmly and thoughtfully decorated. This is easily one of the best hostels you could find anywhere. The staff, Zaki, Wi Ming are helpful in the extreme, their local knowledge is rich and they never act as if they're doing... More

Loved this place. Its really fun but not clique-y, no weirdos just friendly nice people. Staff are nice and give good tips and advice. They are quite funny too and we had some good times sitting about and chatting away and strumming on the guitar. Location is great and in the middle of a lot of things. The building itself... More

My friend and I stayed at Wo Jia Lodge in December 2010 during our winter vacation in Kuching. It's not the fanciest place on earth, but it's got a lot of character. The staff was friendly to the point that we now consider a few of them 'friends,' and they are always willing to help you without trying to sell... More
