i went for a 5 days 4 nights trip to Kota Kinabalu in November 2011 with friends (all 6 of us). I made the reservation by phone and the staffs are very kind and polite. The dorm room was clean and comfortable, facing Jesselton Hotel. The location is very good. Love this place, basic but feel like at home. More

nice guesthouse with nice staff. They give good information and can arrange nice trips to Kinabatang, the mountain Kinabalu and more. It is in a central area with lots of shoppingmalls and other shops. Also dinner at the Fillipino fishmarket is a must!!! Enjoyed my stay very much! More

Very unhelpful staff with limited information. Crammed dorms with bedbugs and cockroach and found that although they advertise a laundry service, this is not the case. We instead were (poorly) directed to a local one which stained our clothes. Good location More

Getting to this place was really easy. From the airport (main terminal), you can take a taxi for RM25.00 . Alternatively, you can also take a mini bus (red/white) and the city bus for only RM1.50 . Can't really complain about this place. The rooms are clean , beds comfortable, staff helpful and everything's well-kept. Also the wifi works great. No a/c in the common area, which is unfortunate, but it's cheap and a hostel. More
