The Club at Traders Hotel, Penang is our home away from home when we visit Georgetown and we look forward to every visit. The staff are always accommodating with a smile and anticipate our needs and wants... this has always been the case since our first stay so long ago and, with occasional changes of being transferred to other departments... We stayed at the Traders in Penang for 7 nights in April 2012. We were on holiday and had stayed at Batu Ferringhi many years ago and decided a city stay would be fine as long as a pool was available. We stayed on the Traders Club floor, and I think this is just such amazing value for money that... More

We've stayed here many times over the years. It's a reliable hotel in a good location. This time somehow the small and increasingly tired rooms got to us. And the tiny lounge (which I said was nice in an earlier review), just seemed completely inadequate. Service in the lounge was almost non-existent. I always had to go looking for someone... More

If you are going to Penang for business or food, this is a right hotel, reasonable price and good location. All the good food is around the hotel and it is right at the city. For beach lover, the hotel provides shuttle service to their sister hotel in batu ferigi. Next to the hotel is a shopping mall.

This is a first class hotel with relatively large, pretty well equipped rooms, a nice, comfortable and very friendly Traders Club loungs, a pleasant lobby bar, an OK restaurant and a good location. It is very well suited for and popular with business and leisure travellers alike. It is, however, a half step behind the Kuala Lumpur and Singapore Traders... More

Hotel is a little dated but served a purpose. Breakfast wasn't the best, tasted like reheated leftovers from the night before. If you are travelling to Penang as a tourist, I would reccomend staying in Batu Feraghi as Georgetown wasnt great at night and the hotel is a taxi ride to Chinatown. Traders lounge was disapointing compared to other Traders... More

Have stayed before, this time had a club room. Traders Penang may not be as nice as the ones in KL or Singapore but it's nowhere near as expensive either. Our room was comfortable and in very good order. Service and efficiency was excellent as always. The only minor problem was that the restaurant was very cold in the evenings.... More

Stayed on the club floor-very well priced with excellent service.Lots of nice food in the evening and at breakfast.Free parking and internet a bonus not often available in expensive hotels.Lots of people were repeat customers which speaks well of the establishment.Rooms a bit small but the bed was very comfortable and there was room for a settee.Decor rather dated but... It's our first visit to Penang and our 2 night stay was a pleasant one. We had a club traders room on higher floor (booked and paid thru their website). Staff were very friendly and accomodating. We picked up a rental car at the airport and drove to the hotel with no problem. The hotel was surrounded by shopping centres... More
