Tudor style with vintage furnitures, open fire, Chesterfield sofas, etc.. LH is pretty well maintained with special efforts made on the gardening part (respect !). They found the cheap trick to get rid of the moist smell by burning incense everywhere and recently fitted the rooms facing the road with double-glazing (half a success though as it's still noisy in... The building is really nice and well-maintained. We found the bathroom in a better shape and more recent than what we expected (to be honest, we had low expectations on that). The room was very pleasant, although the window is not really big and the road below is quite noisy. We enjoyed the four-poster bed, despite its being narrower than... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for recently staying with us at The Lakehouse. I deeply regret your poor breakfast experience and only wish you had bought this to our attention at the time so we could have arranged some fresh pancakes and cheese for you. I assure you, by no means do we normally serve our pancakes or display our laughing-cow... More

For our weekend getaway from the city, we needed a quiet, cozy and comfortable boutique hotel. The Lakehouse's pretty gardens and quaint Tudor-inspired facility fitted the bill perfectly. 1) The room - Our deluxe room was pleasing, with a comfortable 4-poster queen-sized bed and well-appointed dark wood 'antique' and colonial-style furnishing. No TV or mini bar, but that's fine with... More

We chose this colonial-style boutique hotel in search of a cozy and personal place to stay for our vacation in the Cameron Highlands. We were accommodated with an early check-in upon our arrival in the morning and were upgraded to a Junior Suite. Our room was nice and roomy, bed was comfortable, bathroom (both bathub and shower) was ok. We... More

We stayed at the Lakehouse for five nights as part of our Honeymoon. We knew that it was a bit isolated and that we would not have transport, so it met our expectations in that respect. The property itself is amazing - even though it was built in the 1960s, it has that old-world charm that one finds in an... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for deciding to spend part of your Honeymoon with us at The Lakehouse, Cameron Highlands, and for your detailed review. Having followed up the booking issue of your insect tour with my team, it appears there was a misunderstanding with this particular tour, our understanding was that you were enquiring only. As most of the tours... More

Given that this hotel was built only in the 60s, it offers a lot of olde English charm, in keeping with the Tudor-esque theme of the surrounding area. It's also done with a lot more taste than some of its more recent competitors (and followers). While the decor is very telling of its late 60s/70s origins (eg. red lampshades and... More

Many qualities that turned this stay into a disappointing visit. The biggest being that I raised my unhappiness with management and invited them to get in contact me with and now one month later, still no reply. I guess that sums up the general attitude at this hotel: "we don't care". The location is nice and the hotel has such... More

The Lakehouse is not a typical hotel, it's an old, british styled house. It is actually situated in an silent area, surrounded by hills, jungle and the lake, but there's a street near, so sometimes you can hear cars or trucks driving by, when the windows of your room are open. Staff is very very friendly, lovely and helpful! Free... More

LOCATION: surrounded by the jungle and with a view to the mountains and the lake. 15-20 minutes from cameron highlands city centre ROOM: the hotel was built in tudor style, it is very romantic and cosy. Stayed at the Lake House for 2 nights on December 2011. Arrived after a long drive from Kuala Lumpur. Hotel looks very nice and it fits perfectly in such a scenic location. Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback and we do understand and appreciate that it is made constructively. With regards to your comments on the menu, the size of our kitchen operation does have a bearing on the variety that we can offer without compromising on the quality of the meal.
