Overall experience? WONDERFUL weekend getaway.. absolutely perfect for getting away from the City without having to drive hours out of town. The other reviews pretty spot on in terms of how gorgeous it is, what an amazing experience was had and all.. but I feel I ought to add a little warning here for travellers intending to drive there that... The Dusun is a very special place, which with the correct expectations, everyone should enjoy. It's definitely not for all people, and to me that is a big part of the attraction. If you are not comfortable being surrounded by nature without your flat screen TV and Astro, then it's probably not the correct place for you. Switch off, relax,... More

I stayed with my hubby and 2 kids aged 6 and 12 at the Berembun House recently. It has a lovely infinity pool just next to our cosy House and the view of the jungle was fantastic. Breakfast was a tasty Coconut Rice authentically cooked Kampung style. We also had great lunch on arrival sampling local Minangkabau cuisine. We used... More

17 of us, family and friends, spent the weekend here. We took over the Dusun and it was GREAT! Emas House seemed to be the most spacious, so that was where we gathered in groups to chat, play games, meet for lunch - the main meals were enjoyed at the poolside. Our ages ranged from 3-73 - I would not... More

We loved the Dusun from the moment we saw it and have been back several times since. The most appealing part for us is the quite and tranquil atmosphere where we can really let go of our hectic lifestyles. All the houses have there own unique design, no carbon copies here. We have stayed in Berembun but we have also... More

Family owned & run, could have been managed better as the location & views were fantastic. Stayed here with family to give the opportunity for them to enjoy something different through a Groupon Promotion Voucher. It was an adventure just getting there as I need to go thru roads not listed on GPS. We had almost reached there and turned... More

This is overall a fair review and we welcome the feedback. We have remedied some complaints – a new lock, with keys; the stray dog relocated; a dog proof garbage container on the Patio. Housekeeping staff clean the rooms daily – the staff who failed to do so in this case has been motivated. It is the rainy season and... More

We stayed at the Emas and the view was excellent! The first-time experience of BBQ with a great view was fantastic. We can see lots of durians on the trees but they are not ripe yet. The Owners are very thoughtful to provide all the necessary utensils, sauces, hot & cold water, coffee mix & tea bags as well as... More

Loved it, wanted to stay forever. Helen's dog guided me into the jungle and charged me nothing. The gekko in the roof scared lumps out of me, but few spiders thankfully. If I ever go to Malaysia again I shall return. Keep a respectful distance from the orang asli or risk offending them and ending up as a kebab. Leeches?... More

Stayed at The Dusun for one night recently with a friend from out of town and I must say that I came away a bit disappointed by the whole experience. While the chalet and the surrounding atmosphere was nice and very authentic, we felt rather let down by the service. Initially, we had made a set arrangement with the owner... More

This guest was given a late checkout - till 4 pm, while normal check out is at 12. After that I offered her the lounge in my office to rest in while they waited for a taxi. I am sorry this guest was not happy with her experience at the Dusun, because we went out of our way for her.... More

This is what city folks need to relax & unwind in the weekend. We stayed here recently for 1 night. We booked Berembun House. We were lucky to get the chalet because this place is fully booked all the time. The Berembun House is amazing, it has a pool & the perfect view. The whole place is nicely maintained, clean... More
