This hotel actually isn't bad, although Kota Bharu is an ugly, unpleasant city. My room was more or less "deluxe," as had been described, and the restaurant very fine. In fact, dinner there was exceptional on the first evening, as were the breakfasts. No wine is available in the dining room.

The buiding look rather old but outstanding with its unique design. Overall I feel it is the best in Kota Bharu. It is equipped with modern facilities not found in most of the hotels around. Check in was quick and simple. On arrival at our room we discovered that we had been upgraded to a mini suite. It was really good! Dinner was excellent - a seafood BBQ special - and reasonably priced. No alcohol in this part of Malaysia though! Swimming pool was great; although quite a few "non resident" swimmers.

I'm hoping that this isn't the best hotel in Kota Bharu. Rooms were old and tired. The hallways smelled really bad. Food in the restaurants was not very nice all and all would not recommend it.

A very pleasant and responsive front desk.food was good and the restaurant staff are pleasant.

It is not budget hotel, so have quality stay but we need to pay for premium
