Pad D's cost us 25 Ringgit a night for a twin room, with fan and a shared bathroom. The rooms are in need of a lick of paint and TLC but on a plus side the showers are great. It is a little walk from the bus station (about 10 minutes). There is a bit of a 'fend for yourself'...

I came at Kota Bharu for 3 days and I stayed at Pad D for 2 nights. 1 st night I stayed with a Canada lady and a Italian man in the dormitory. The second night I changed to the single queen bed because I want my privacy. Although I am a Malaysian from Kuala Lumpur, I Love to stay...

for kota bharu this is a fine and low profile, chilled out place. compare "price vs value" and u won't find a better deal (we checked approx 10 other guesthouses and hotels) . ok, it's not super duper "clean" but if are a little flexible, it's a good & tolerant place. we stayed here 2 times sofar and have no...

Visa runs are so often a drag... especially in a city you`ve never been to before. Having to find a place to stay, navigate your way around town and jumping through hoops at the embassy can frustrating to say the least! Stumbling upon Pad D was truely a blessing. The rooms were basic, but clean and perfectly adequate, in a...

As you enter the guest house the first room you find is the lounge with comfy sofa and TV, straight away I felt at ease and relaxed. The décor is very nice and tastefully done. I did meet the owners Sham & Betty and found them extremely friendly and helpful in every way, i would certainly stay at the Pad...

I spent one night at Pad D's when I stopped over in Kota Bharu on a visa run. The rooms were clean and comfy, there is a big common balcony with lounge chairs, the bathrooms were clean, too. The owner is a sweetheart who even offered to take me to the embassy with his car! I can definitely only recommend...

We required to take off the shoes in the building but i would say the floor is very dusty as well as the toliet is...

This place seemed too good to be true at first, but it wasn't. The tasteful aesthetics, laid-back atmosphere and friendly owners made my ten days here a joy. Kota Bharu itself doesn't have a lot going for it, but this guesthouse gave me the opportunity to re-group my energies and prepare for the next destination.
I doubt you could find a better place to stay in Kota Bharu. They have a variety of rooms, all reasonably priced. They are located in a nice part of the city, very close to the night market. My first night there the owners Cham and Betty invited all of the guests to a wonderful Malaysian meal. Cham even drove...
