We visited the hotel for refreshments a number of times. Jeff was an exceptional host and we enjoyed the venue every time. You get the feeling you are unrestricted when at the African Pearl. Think I will stay here next time. :)

Jeff and his staff were super friendly and helpful and it's a nice setting with a bar, restaurant and pool area but it's at the far end of town and no access to the beach. The shower and faucet deceptively left the impression that there was running water, however, during this three day stay in August 2011 there was none. The kitchen is quite good and also serves good staff food for a low price. The location is good and the rooms located in the main block upstairs have nice balconies.
