We stayed here for a few nights. 50 Euros a night. No breakfast. Small, narrow beds. Really, really bad bathroom (think: sink is falling off the wall). Old bathtub. Still, quite awesome ... The front desk was awful service. The ladies holding our keys on the 3rd floor were always friendly. A few notes: 1. A hooker called our room.... More

Arrived at hotel at 5.30am from train. Let in at 5.45am. Told that check-out would be 5.00am.Was not allow a later check-out without another 24 hour tariff. No 12 hour tariff. Negotiated a 6.00am check-out. Concierge did not appreciate having sleep disturbed. Reluctant to give receipt. Hot water in the one shower to 50 rooms on for only 3hours twice... More

This hotel had no air conditioning and heating pipes that did not turn off in the middle of summer. Temperatures of 35 degrees left me gasping. Opening the door only let in the traffic roar and pollution. The bathroom was very old and in need of repair. In fact the room had a repairman outside it digging into the wall... More

We arrived in Almaty after midnight and by the time we arrived at the hotel, it was late and we were exhausted from the long travel. My first impression was how dark the reception area & halls were.
