This hotel is very well situated at walking distance from the ferry port and from both the JR and Kotoden train stations.It is functional and well kept but the rooms ( ours was supposed to be a superior double ) are small in comparison with those of other Tokyu inns we visited during our trip. This hotel is good value for money. It is clean, comfortable and across the road from the main retail district (much of which is undercover). Our room had an unexpected remote-controlled massage chair which was a very welcome bonus!

We went to Takamatsu for two days to visit Ritsurin Park, one of the most beautiful in Japan, and, the wonderful Chichu Art Museum on Naoshima Island, a 50 minute ferry ride from Takamastu. We struggled to find affordable accommodation in Takamatsu and eventually settled for the Tokyu Inn. It isn't exactly modern and is in dire need of a lick of paint and some updates.
