What makes me give it the low rating is the overall lack of security in the place. I was taking a shower, only to have someone break off the padlock and steal not only my laptop, but my Nikon DSLR camera, my iPod, and the padlock itself! The front desk did nothing to help. Christmas break ruined just like that.

Arrived here in Oct 2011 for four nights and had something of a culture shock, first appearing to be something more... More

I stayed in Lohas Villa for four nights with my adult son. Lohas Villa is a cross between a hotel and a hostel. It has a dormitory, but also individual rooms with communal bath and shower. cheap but awful, that's all i can say! Dirty common restroom and shower, the sink is on the terrace... Room doesn't look so bad, but it's very small and air condtioner is extra (100 Y/2 hours). disgusting towels...
