Efficient hotel, but also very pleasant to stay if you are not on a business trip. Nice rooms, somewhat larger than usual. Cosy restaurant for breakfast, with a choice of local specialties. We stayed at Richmond hotel and it is now the new standard in Kumamoto. The staff is great and breakfast is tasty and soaks up the previous nights activities! A very clean and spacious hotel, considering the size of some others. No swimming pool or gym but smack bang in town. Very friendly staff as would be expected from the Japanese. Free internet connection, but no English channels on the television.
